MATANGI NOTES
WOMENS MISSIONARY UNION The monthly meeting of the Matangi branch of the Waikato East Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union was held recently at the home of Mrs C. Marychurch. The meeting opened with a devotional period conducted by Mrs E. Thompson and Mrs N. Thompson. Mrs Davison gave a report on soldiers’ gift parcels, eleven having been sent away by members of the union. A very interesting address on “The New Hebrides ” was given by Mrs B. Nottage, who was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Items by Miss E. Shaw and Miss L. Ringer were much enjoyed. At the conclusion of the meeting afternoon tea was served.
