HAURAKI GULF DISCOVERY LAUNCH MASTER’S REPORT AUCKLAND. Wednesday The master of the fishing launch Waipawa, Captain George Marks, who reported three floating mines in the Hauraki Gulf at the week-end, states that these and seven other mines jyere destroyed by naval minesweepers. Others ashore on Great Barrier Island. The mines had been car ied into the Hauraki Gulf by heavy northerly veather.
