Disposal of Veal
“Not a pound of bobby calf veal is going into the freezer,” said the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. J. G. Barclay, speaking at the annual conference of the New Zealand Co-op-erative Pig Marketing Association today. The Government, added the Minister, was determined to prevent speculation and no such veal would be allowed into the freezers until a market for this product was obtained and the Government gave the necessary permission.
