“ALERT" IN LONDON

FIRST FOR 45 DAYS (Official Wireless) (Received June 7, 3.15 p.m.) RUGBY, June 6 London had its first daylight “Alert” this morning for 45 days and the first daylight gunfire for many weeks. There are no reports that bombs were dropped. A communique says: Snemy activity today was slight. Single aircraft dropped bombs at two points in north-eastern England. No one was seriously injured.
