CLOSING TOMORROW

WINTER SHOW ENTRIES One of the features of this year’s Waikatq Winter Show, which will be officially opened by the GovernorGeneral, Sir Cyril Newall, on Tuesday, May 27, will be the new classes for new clothing for boys and girls in Britain. Although the entries for the general classes for the show do not close until tomorrow there is already sufficient clothing in hand in the special classes to make a great display. After the clothing has been judged it will all be sent over to Britain in time for next winter as a goodwill gift from the people of New Zealand. The dairy factory entries closed some time ago, and the keen competition of previous yeais will again be evident in these sections, where again the numbers are the largest for any show in the world. Everything indicates that when the general entries close tomorrow the Waikato Winter Show will nave another record of which to be proud.
