Copyright) NEW YORK, May 7 Shipping circles in New York today disclosed that the Red Cross liner Nerissa was the ship reported by the Canadian Government yesterday to have been sunk with the loss of 122 lives, including 11 American airmen engaged to fly bombers to Britain. The Nerissa was torpedoed on the night of April 30, when 100 miles from a Canadian port. Formerly a Bermuda and West Indies Shipping Company passenger ship, the Nerissa was a vessel of 5583 tons, registered in Hamilton, Bermuda. She was built in Glasgow in 1926.
