HOME GUARD COURSES

87 FROM AREA TO ATTEND Twenty-three officers and 64 noncommissioned officers from Home Guard units in No. 4 area will be attending a 14-day course ol instruction at Narrow Neck Military Camp, commencing on May 10. Training will includfe minor tactics, tank traps, field engineering, section leading and fieldcraft and other subjects. Every battalion in the area will be well represented at the courses. Included among the officers attending are five battalion commanders, Captain T. H. Melrose (Hamilton), Captain J. D. McKenzie (Waitomo), Captain D. Bruce, M.C. (Waikato County), Major J. C. Fillery (Raglan) and Mr L. A. Holford (Tallin arunui )■
