END-OF-SEASON FUNCTION The mild autumn weather and the pretty autumn setting, combined to make the closing day of the Cambridge Bowling Club on Saturday a very enjoyable function. Members and lady visitors were received by the president, Mr A. J. S. Richardson and Mrs Richardson. Margaret Willis presented a posy of autumn flowers to Mrs Richardson, who was wearing an ensemble of rust angora. Among those present were:—Mesdames A. de L. Willis, Edgar James, S. Lewis, P. Graham, P. Andrews, Gee, C. A. Finch, Bear, Clark, E. H. Leigh, L. Mahoney, H. E. Amyes, J. Watt, E. G. Martyn. Misses Smythe, P. Ferguson. GIRLS’ FRIENDLY SOCIETY Two members of the Girls’ Friendly Society and the Bible Class of St. Andrew’s Church, Cambridge, were extended fellow members’ good wishes when an evening was arranged in honour of their approaching marriages. The guests-of-hon-our were Miss Doreen Hubbard and Miss Lenore Winley, who were each presented with a gift by the vicar, the Rev. C. W. Chandler. An enjoyable evening was spent in playing games and competitions at the Vicarage, where the party was arranged. Among those present were:—Mrs C. W. Chandler, Mrs C. R. Haworth, Mrs Hill.
