CHANGE IN PERSONNEL l (By Telegraph.—press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Minister of Labour, the Hon. P. C. Webb, announced today that Mr A. W. Nesbit has tendered his resignation as a member of the Industrial Emergency Council. Mr Webb said: “Mr Nesbit has performed excellent work, both as a member of the council and as chairman of the hours committee, and I desire to express my sincere thanks and also the appreciation of the Government for the valuable service he has rendered.” Mr Nesbit was appointed at the inception of the council as the manufacturers’ representative and he was now devoting his whole time to the setting up of an auxiliary training scheme throughout the Dominion and is at present attached to the staff of the Labour Department. Mr D. I. MacDonald, secretary of the Manufacturers’ Federation, has been appointed the manufacturers’ representative on the council.
