TE AVVAMUTU COUNCIL RENTAL CAR LICENSES (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday The first meeting for the year of the Te Awamutu Borough Council was attended by the Mayor, Mr G. Spinley, and Messrs J. C. Montefiore, \V. J. North, J. A. Maxwell, C. J. Spiers, L. S. Armstrong, A. D. Wallace and A. Brown. The Power Board advised that it would reduce charges for lighting purposes in the Town Hall when it was used for patriotic purposes to 3d a unit. It was decided to vote £5 to the Te Awamutu Home Guard for payment of petty expenses.
