ST. JOHN’S GIRLS’ CLUB
There was a very satisfactory attendance at the Parish Hall. Te Awamutu, recently, when the St. John's Girls’ Club presented two one-act .plays. The first presented—a costume play—was produced by Mrs Hilton Thompson, the cast being as follows: Susan, Rita Waters; Letitia, i Valda Rickit; Elizabeth. Audrey Manson; Rosemary, Nancy Lees; Deborah, . Ethel Davis; Aunt Penelope, Barbara I Tucker; Jane, Elva Schofield, j The producer of the second play— I a modern “crook ” drama —was Mr i H. A. Swarbrick, with the following j cast: Mrs Hay dock, Mrs Hilton j Thompson; Mr Merrowdene, Mr W. ! Foggin; Inspector Evans, Rev. M. ' Sullivan; Mrs Merrowdene, Mrs M. Sullivan. i Both productions were well done and the audience was' not slow to show its appreciation of the evening’s entertainment.
