Copyright) (Received Nov. 1, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 31 The latest Bank of England returns are:— Issue Department.—Notes in circulation £591,500,000, notes in the banking department £38,700,000 other Government securities £615.800,000, other securities £3,200,000 silver coin nil. Banking Department.—Rest £3.100,000. public deposits £18,300,000, bankers’ deposits £108,000.000, other accounts £51,500.000, Government securities £130,000,000, discounts and advances £3,000,000, other securities £23,200,000, notes and coin £39,200,000. Ratio of reserve to liabilities, 22.02. The Bank of England discount rate remains unchanged at 2 per cent.
