EARLY TO WORKS

LAMB AND SHEEP DELIVERY REMINDER BY MEAT BOARD (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Meat Board, in a statement, says it desires to impress on farmers the necessity of continuing the usual practice of delivering early lambs and sheep to freezing works as soon as such stock is ready for treatment. Shipping arrangements have been made to clear stores of all last season’t surplus, and negotiations are in train for sufficient vessels to take the usual early killings in the new season. On no account must the shipping schedule be disorganised by the failure of stock to come forward as usual. The expected output of meat for export in the coming season is heavy, and therefore it is all the more necessary that all stock should

be delivered when ready for slaughter. Everyone connected with the industry is asked to assist the steady flow ol' stock to the works.
