SECRET BOMB-SIGHT
RELEASED TO BRITAIN HELP FROM UNITED STATES FLYING FORTRESS BOMBERS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) NEW YORK, Oct. 21 The Chicago Tribune reports that an Army officer of high rank has informed a United State Senator that America’s secret bomb-sight has already been released to Britain, and also that the Administration has agreed to give Britain over half the United States Army’s 46 “flying fortress” bombers. The Chief of the Air Corps, MajorGeneral H. H. Arnold, refused either to confirm or deny the report. A provisional agreement is believed to have been reached between the United States and Britain over the bases leased in the West Indies, states a message from Antigua.
