“HITLER METHODS”
PROTEST BY WORKERS ! LIP SERVICE TO GOVERNMENT Strong criticism of recent legislation, which, members contended, was detrimental to the interests of workers, was voiced at the monthly meeting of the Hamilton branch of the New Zealand Amalgamated Society of Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Industrial Union of Workers, when the following resolution was passed: j “That this meeting of Hamilton members of the union strongly protests against the recent regulations which give the Government the power to dismiss democratically elected officials from office and unionists from their unions, i “Further, we see in these regulations a dangerous parallel to the methods employed by Hitler, insofar as a worker must be either a lip--1 server of the Government or starve.”
