CHILDREN OVERSEAS

MESSAGES FROM PARENTS NEW BROADCASTING SERVICE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. copyright) LONDON, Oct. 14 Parents whose children have been sent to Canada under the Children’s Overseas Reception Board scheme are to be given the opportunity of speaking direct to the girls and boys in the Dominions. Princess Elizabeth’s message inaugurated a new weekly programme in the 8.8. C. North American service called “ For the Children.” In part of this programme each week, children from every part of Britain will be given the chance of hearing their parents’ voices, and it is hoped it will be possible to let children know in advance that someone from their own district will be

speaking to them in the next week programme.
