MAJOR EPIDEMIC FEARED DISTRICTS QUARANTINED (United Press Assn.—tier. Tel. Copyright) TOKIO, Oct. 14 The Hsinking correspondent of the Domei news agency reports that 18 people died of bubonic plague on September 24. The authorities, fearing a major epidemic, have prohibited gatherings, closed theatres and ordered a thorough cleaning of the city. They have banned unmasked people from the streets and quarantined five districts.
