PROSPECTS IN PHILIPPINES EXPENDITURE AUTHORISED (I'nired Press Asn.—nee. Tel. Copyright) (Received Oct. 16, 3.15 p.m.) MANILA, Oct. 15 The President, Don Quezon, stated that he has authorised the expenditure of 500,000 pesos to begin drilling for oil at Cebu and the Bonoc Peninsula. He said a survey of those areas indicated that the chances of finding oil are very favourable.
