MEASLES AMONG TROOPS
ISOLATED CASES IN CAMPS 46 SOLDIERS IN HOSPITAL Several cases o£ measles among the troops in the military camps in the Waikato are still arising each day, although the number o£ soldiers being admitted to the Waikato Hospital is not as large as it was a few weeks ago. There are still 46 soldiers in the special hospital annexe in the new Hamilton West School, however. The epidemic appears to be abating gradually. The majority of the cases now being admitted to hospital are from Hopu Hopu, aitnough isolated cases are reported from both the Cambridge and Te Aroha military camps. Several cases of influenza among the troops in the Waikato are being admitted to hospital, but the outbreak is not severe and and no more prevalent than might be expected from a large congregation of men. The individual cases are all of a mild type.
