Ltd., present a handsome Silver Cup (Perpetual) for annual competition. To be awarded to the Exhibitor of the lambs securing first prize at Westfield Freezing Works. Present holder: Mr J. S. Thomas. PRIZES—ON HOOF: First £4, second £2, third £l, fourth 10/-. ON HOOKS (Westfield): First £4, second £2, third £l, fourth 10/-. Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Co. Cup and Miniature Class 211—Three Lambs. Down-Longwool cross, most suitable for highest class English trade, weights to be approximately 35 lbs. The lambs in this class will again be judged on the hooks at Horotiu. THE AUCKLAND FARMERS’ FREEZING COMPANY LTD. donates £l2 towards prize money in this Class, and in addition present a Silver Cup (Challenge), to be won 3 times (not necessarily in sucession) to the exhibitor gaining the most points in the live judging, and also a Miniature value £3/3/-. Weights of Lambs approximately 33 lbs. Children’s Classes SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd, at 10 A.M. Class 213—Best Lamb, hand-reared by child attending primary school. Lambs will be divided into 4 classes: Shortwool—Early and late lambs. Longwool—Early and late lambs. Prizes in each class—lst 15/-, 2nd 7/6, 3rd 5/-, 4th 2/6. No Entry Fee. PIGS FIRST DAY. CHAMPION CERTIFICATES will be awarded for the best Boar and the best Sow in each breed where there is a bona fide competition. Competition to mean exhibits from two or more owners. First prize £l/10/-, second 15/- unless otherwise stated. Entry fee: Members 6/-; non-members, 10/-. All entries to be either entered in or eligible for entry in Herd Book.
