EARLY APPRAISAL
NEW SEASON’S WOOL AUCKLAND ON OCTOBER 21 (liy Telegraph.—special to Times) AUCKLAND, Friday The Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association has been notified that an alteration in the date of the initial wool appraisal in Auckland has been made, and the first appraisement will take place on October 21 instead of November 14, as pre' r: ously arranged. This unusuairy early date has been fixed at the request of the Wool Control in the United Kingdom, which has asked New Zealand to forward wool to the United Kingdom as soon as possible.
Appraisals at other centres have also been advanced to expedite the shipment of the new season’s clip. The new programme is as follows: Napier, October 22; Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay and Gisborne, October 24; Wellington, October 24; Christchurch, October 25.
The Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, has issued an appeal to growers who have already shorn their sheep to send their wool into store immediately. Farmers are urged to expedite shearing so that as much wool as possible will be available for appraisal on the dates announced.
