FIRST OFFICER

MEASLES AMONG TROOPS SEVERAL MEN BACK TO CAMP The first commissioned officer to become a victim of the measles epidemic at the Te Rapa isolation camp was admitted to the Hamilton West School emergency hospital today. He is a second-lieutenant. During the week-end the first of the soldierpatients to be discharged from hospital following their recovery from measles returned to the Te Rapa camp. Eight men were discharged yesterday and a further eight will return to camp today. Four new cases developed at the camp yesterday, with the result that there are now 52 troops still in hospital.
