TE AROHA JOCKEY CLUB

EXTRA PERMIT REFUSED KEEN DISAPPOINTMENT FELT (Special to Times.) TE AROHA, Monday Keen disappointment has been felt in Te Aroha at the decision of the New Zealand Racing Conference to refuse a permit to the Te Aroha Jockey Club to hold a two-day meeting on September 21 and 23. The reason given for the refusal was the protest made by the Paeroa Jockey Club which holds its meeting on September 28 and 30. It is hoped, however, that the Te Aroha club will be granted a permit for a two-day meeting later in the year.
