Exhibition of Dominion Art

The collection of paintings now on view at the Bledisloe Hall includes all the painters of note in New Zealand from Augustus Earle, who came to New Zealand in 1827, to those of the present day. The art galleries, museums and libraries have lent their finest works and private collectors have lent their treasures. It is undoubtedly the finest collection ever brought together and is also an excellent pictorial history of the development of New Zealand. The Coronation picture is an excellent statement of the historical ceremony, full of rich and beautiful colour. The exhibition is open daily and will close finally on Sunday at 4.30 p.m.
