WAIHOU HORSE FAIR
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their Walliou horse fair on Monday, when a small otrerlng or draughts was submitted. Bidding for useful farm horses was keen, and for this class a brisk sale resulted. A medium entry or hacks created little interest and passings were not infrequent. Realisations were: Heavy three and four-year draughts, with any trial, £3O 10s to £lO 10s: young medium-weight farm horses, £27 to £3l lots; aged fa I'm horses, all work, £to to £l9: live to eight-year light harks, £8 l r,s to £l2 15s; two-year unbroken miles, £ll to £ll i:>,s; two-year unbroken geldings, to £9 10 s.
