WANGANUI CAMP

DIFFICULTIES OVER GROUNDS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WANGANUI, Tuesday Following acceptance by the Army Department of offers by the Wanganui Jockey Club and the Wanganui Rugby' Union to allow the use of the racecourse and the football ground for a territorial camp, it may be necessary to abandon the Wanganui A. and P. Show. Two hundred officers and N.C.O.’s are to enter camp on August 8, with several hundred men following on August 15. The show is scheduled for the racecourse on November 13 and 14. The Jockey Club may also find it difficult to hold the spring meeting on September 5 and 7, but negotiations over this are taking place.
