STAND BY DOMINION
BRITAIN’S APPRECIATION (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) WELLINGTON, Tuesday The British Government’s deep appreciation of the resolution carried last week by the House of Representatives in which reference was made to the firm intention of the Dominion to give every possible assistance to the Mother Country in the present struggle is expressed in a cablegram received by the Gover-nor-General, Viscount Galway, from the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs, Lord Caldecote. “The people of this country are greatly heartened in their determination to attain victory by the knowledge that the people of New Zealand are resolute in the devotion of their utmost efforts in the common cause,” states the message, which was read to the House by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser.
