VISIT FROM MR CHURCHILL DEVELOPMENTS IN WARFARE THE VALUE OF MEN {Official Wireless) (Received July 8. 3.15 p.m.) RUGBY, July 7 Mr Winston Churchill, with the War Secretary and Commander-in-Chief of the Home Front, paid a surprise visit on Saturday to thjD First Canadian Division. Commenting during his visit on developments in modem warfare, particularly the Maginot Line, Mr Churchill said:— “You cannot buy safety with bricks and mortar. You can buy it only with men.”
