WEDDING
CLEAVER—THOMAS BRIDE IN WHITE LACE A quiet wedding was solemnised at St. John's church of England Te Awamutu on Wednesday June 5, when Myra Elizabeth, second daughter of Mr and Mrs A. R. Thomas, Invercargill, was married to Rex Helary, second son of Mr and Mrs J. W. Cleaver, of Pukekohe. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. M. G. Sullivan. Mrs M. Sullivan presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her uncle, Mr J. Howie, of Tokanui, wore a dainty frock of white lace over satin. The bodice and sleeves were tight-fitting and the skirt formed a long flowing train. A full-length veil fell from a headdress of soft tulle. She carried a bouquet of white camellias, cyclamen and maidenhair fern. Miss Edna Thomas, sister of the bride, of Invercargill, acted as bridesmaid. She wore a frock of violet taffeta, designed with a small, tightfitting bodice and a flared skirt. Her bouquet was of violets, daphne and maidenhair fern. Mr S. Pratt, of Wharepuhaupa, carried out the duties of fbest, and Mr R. Marn, of Kihikihi, was usher. Mrs Cleaver, mother of the bridegroom, deputised for the bride’s mother in receiving the guests at the reception. She wore a tailored costume with furs.
