DRAMA FESTIVAL
OPENS IN HAMILTON TONIGHT The New Zealand Centennial oneact play competition of the British Drama League will open at the Waikato Winter Show Hall to-night. Mr Haswell Paine will be the judge. The programmes will be:— To-night—Operatic Society, “Such Sweet Sorrow”; Diocesan School Drama League, “Passion, Poison and Petrifaction”; St. George’s Players, “The Sign.” To-morrow night—Diocesan School Juniors, “Alice in Wonderland”; Gordonton W. 1., “Women at War”; Otorohanga W. 1., “Far, Far Away”; Kenilworth Players, “Flight From Cumnor.” Saturday night—Performers’ Club, “A Grotesque For November”; Operatic Society. “Beauty Spot”; Hamilton Playbox, “Twentieth Century Lullaby.”
