UNUSUAL SITUATION

CHARGE AGAINST SOLDILR SAID TO BE IN CAMP AT TIME “It is perhaps a case of impersonation,” commented Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court, Hamilton, today, when an unusual situation arose. Traffic Inspector A. E. Hodgson brought a charge against a soldier for an alleged offence at Te Rapa on June 28. However, the adjutant at the Trentham mobilisation camp informed the Court that the defendant was in camp on that day. The case was adjourned for a fortnight to enable the prosecution to make further inquiries regarding the case.
