AIR FORCE DISPLAY
FLIGHTS OVER WELLINGTON 19 PLANES ENGAGED (By Telegraph.—-Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The people of Wellington were given a front seat view of one of the most spectacular sights of air force training when groups from the Woodburn Aerodrome, Blenheim, flew over the city in formation for the best part of an hour between noon and 1 p.m. The first to arrive was a group of nine Vincent biplanes, glinting brightly in the sun, then near at hand were seven Oxford airspeed monoplanes. Three other Vincents followed in a formation of their own. The manoeuvres of the contingent overhead brought into the streets, on to the roofs, and to every window large groups of interested spectators It was generally known that a display was to be given, but not everyone knew, and at least one good soul required an assuarnce that the craft belonged to the Dominion and had no sinister purpose.
