Concert at Hopu Hopu

The final concert to be arranged by | the Hamilton Rotary Club for members of the second echelon at present i at Hopu Hopu camp was given at the ! camp under Mr R. Harris last night A bright and entertaining pro- ! gramme, which was thoroughly enl joyed by the troops, included: Songs, ! Mrs S. Buchanan; Mrs S. Bennett, | Messrs M. Burdis, W. Whitehead; i tap dancing. Miss Rowie Dougherty. I instrumental duet, Mrs S. Bennett and Miss J. Brighouse; ventriloquist, Mr E. Meyer; humour, Mr R. Harris. The accompanists were Miss Alsia | Dougherty, Messrs W. Whitehead and ! S. Bennett. At the conclusion of the concert Major S. Reid presented Mr | W. Whitehead, who has been the ac - companist for most of the concert parties with a silver wristlet watch, inscribed: “From members of Second I Echelon, Hopu Hopu, 1940.“
