OBITUARY
MR WILLIAM DICK The death has occurred at his residence. 17a Clifton Road, of Mr William Dick, aged 75 years. Bom in Auckland, Mr Dick spent his youth at Thames, where his father was engaged in goldmining. While there he was a brass-moulder, but in 1885 he went to Auckland, where he was a house painter for many years. He came to Hamilton in 1936 to live in retirement. Mr Dick was married at Thames in 1883 to Miss Sarah Morman-Shep-herd, daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry Shepherd, who were old identities in the district. He is survived by his wife, four sons, Messrs W. Dick (Auckland), E. Dick (Hamilton), Albert Dick (Takapuna), Archibald Dick (Hamilton), and two daughters, Mrs S. Walker (Auckland) and Miss Margaret Dick (Hamilton).
