ARMY RUGBY ALL BLACKS GREAT MATCH IN EGYPT High praise for the Rugby football played by the New Zealand Army team in Egypt is contained in a letter from a Hamilton officer of the first echelon. He describes the game between New Zealand and the Combined Services at Easter. “This afternoon we have been to a real football match.” he writes. “New Zealand played the Combined Services in Egypt and won by 20 points to nil. and was it a game? The New Zealanders were the best team I have ever seen in action—fast, hard-working forwards, and snappy backs. The match kept us on our toes for the whole time and, believe me, we’re proud of them tonight. Lady Weyvell presented them all with medals and they deserved them all.’’
