A Dutch patrol consisting of a sergeant, a corporal and eight privates, which was guarding the frontier at Swalmen, vanished last Wednesday night. It is believed they were held by the Germans after losing their way. * * * * The Italian newspaper II Popolo di Roma suggests that the intensive air activity of the past week is a prelude to mass attacks about to be begun in order to decide which of the belligerents has supremacy in the air. * * * * A Czech, Vladimir Vostecek, was executed at Prague for assisting Smutek, a Czech student wanted for shooting a member of the Gestapo on March 31. Smutek was alleged to have killed a German police sergeant at Kladno. * * * • France and Germany have agreed to exchange the first group of civil prisoners through the Red Cross, and 120 Germans and 120 French will go to Geneva on April 16, after whi.ch will travel to their homes.
