Copyright' APIA, April 6 A Samoan woman, Faatonu, aged 22, was tried on Thursday in the High Court, Apia, before Chief Judge W. Carrol Harley and four assessors, three European and one Samoan, on a charge of the murder of her infant son, aged 10 months. The accused was convicted and sentenced to death. This is the first case in Samoa of a woman being condemned to death.
