TROTTING AT THAMES

SPRINT TO OUR JEWEL TUMBLE AT GOOD ODDS MAH JONG BEATS CRACKSMAN Keen racing was a feature of the Thames Trotting Club’s Centennial fixture at Parawai on Saturday, when the Hamilton representative, Belfast Jack, won the chief event, the Thames Trotting Cup, and the Ham-ilton-owned and Cambridge-trained Our Jewel, who had filled the role of runner-up to Belfast Jack, prevailed in the sprint event. Three favourites prevailed on the day and all returns, with the exception of Tumble, who won the Kerepeehi Handicap, were comparatively short.
