SALE OF BETTY BOOP

SECURED BY MR P. REID AT SUBSTANTIAL FIGURE TO ENTER M. STEWART’S STABLE Following the success of Betty Boop in the Futurity Stakes at the Ashburton Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday she was purchased by the Hamilton sportsman, Mr P. Reid, from her owner-trainer, Mr W. J. Doyle, at a substantial figure. She will be brought north at an early date and will enter the successful stable of M. Stewart, at Te Rapa. An exceptionally fine three-year-old filly by the successful sire Jack Potts, out of Disappearance, she should experience little difficulty in paying her way in the best company up this way. Recently Mr Reid also acquired an attractive looking two-year-old gelding by Jack Potts from The Abbess and he is now located with Stewart at Te Rapa. Mr Reid was at Ashburton for the Ashburton meeting and is expected back to-morrow.
