NGARUAWAHIA NOTES
JOLLY SOCIAL EVENING A jolly social evening was held in the Parish Hall, Ngaruawahia, recently, the proceeds being to augment the funds of the Anglican Church. Winners of the bettle sompetition were Master L. Sewell and Miss E. Brooks, and the winners of the bridge were Mrs H. B. Fraser and Mrs J. D. Joy. Among those present were:—Mesdames R. Knighton, W. H. Martin, E. Clout, F. Chaney, L. Sewell. J. Turbott, G. Wilmot, L. Puckett, E. Hall (Horotiu), G. Marriott, F. Hall, E. Fuller, W. Paterson, C. E. Wilson, H. B. Fraser, J. D. Joy, B. Bunn, A. Potter, A. Small. Misses E. Ensor, D. Good, E. Brooks (Taupiri), M. Rayner, E. Saulbrey. RED CROSS SOCIETY BRIDGE AFTERNOON A successful bridge afternoon was held in the Red Cross Club Rooms. Ngaruawahia, recently, when the hostesses were Mesdames R. D. Duxfield and E. Fuller. The prize for the hidden number was won by Miss E. Saulbrey. Those playing were:—Mesdames R. B. McLaren, F. Hall, F. Small, C. E. Wilson, R. Duxfield, J. D. Jackson, M. Loughnan, W. Peterson, G. Mar- ! riott, D. R. Welch (Taupiri), E. I Fuller, H. B. Fraser, Chapman and Miss E. Saulbrey.
