Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, returned from Wellington this morning.
Mr C. A. Cuming, of Wellington, is visiting Hamilton.
The Rt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato, is visiting Hastings.
Messrs R. Little and I. Johnson (Wellington), J. W. Hill (Russell) and W. C. Trotter (Hawera) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr W. H. D. Coltman, Hamilton district manager of the A.M.P. Society, has left for Auckland to take up duties as acting district manager for three weeks.
The Rev. J. S. Strang, of Fairlie, has been accepted as a Presbyterian Champlain with the forces, and it is expected he will sail with the third echelon.
The Rev. Father Hurley, C.Ss.R., and the Rev. Father O’Connell, C.Ss.R., of Wellington, are visiting Hamilton to conduct a mission at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, which will commence tomorrow morning.
Messrs G. Pretty, head office inspector for the A.M.P. Society, N. C. Crozier, South Australian branch manager of the industrial department, H. L. Cranswick, general superintendint of the agencies in Australia and New Zealand, and H. L. Beaumont, supervisor of agencies, arrived at Hamilton on Thursday and left for Rotorua yesterday.
