PARADE OF STOCK
SHOW AT CAMBRIDGE LARGE ENTRIES JUDGED CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS MADE (Times Special Reporter) CAMBRIDGE, Friday Large entries in all sections paraded before the judges at the Centennial Show of the Waikato Central Agricultural Association at the Cambridge Showgrounds today. Judging of the many entries started early this morning, and at the completion of their work the judges were enthusiastic in their praise of the stock exhibits. Tomorrow will be observed as People’s Day, and the outstanding programme of ring events j s expected to attract record crowds. All four breeds of dairy cattle are strongly represented at the show and in some classes the judges were faced with a difficult task in awarding the prizes. A feature of the cattle section is the impressive exhibition of Friesian cattle, which are on show in record numbers. Large entries of Jersey cattle also paraded, many prominent breeders being represented. A number of previous championship winners met in the judging ring where competition was particularly keen. Horses again form one of the principal attractions of the show, the showing of draught horses today being an impressive one. Large entries have been received for the light horse and riding competitions and the display tomorrow should be verv worthy of a Centennial Show. the weather was fine and there was a good attendance for the first
