BROTHERS BURNED

LAUNCH ENGINE AFIRE (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Thursday When the engine of their launch York caught fire at Devonport last night two brothers, Messrs John Thomas Howard, labourer and Francis Howard, grocer, both of Devonport, suffered severe burns on all parts of the body. They were brought to the Auckland Hospital and their condition at a late hour was reported to be fairly serious. INJURIES PROVE FATAL MOTOR CYCLE COLLISION AUCKLAND. Thursday James Young, grocer’s assistant, aged 17, a motor-cyclist of Mount Eden, who suffered severe head injuries in a collision with another motor-cycle at Balmoral on Tuesday, died in the Auckland Hospital last night.
