NGARUAWAHIA NEWS

NATIONAL PARTY ENTERTAINS There was a large attendance at the Masonic Hall, Ngaruawahia, recently when the Hon. Adam Hamilton, Leader of the National Party, was entertained at a luncheon given in his honour by members and friends of the National Party in Ngaruawahia and surrounding districts . The hall had been attractively decorated with streamers of red, white and blue and bowls of shaded flowers were arranged about the tables with streamers of the same colour. Hutt, Proctor, Brockett (Glen Massey), Stokes (Kainui), G. L. Hancock, J. Thorn (Taupiri), M. E. Fox (Taupiri), Hinton (Taupiri), Black (Taupiri), E. J. Hunter, Hinton (Te Kowhai), Beattie (Taupiri), Lovell (Rotokauri), Harris (Te Kowhai), Ogle, G. W. D. Rogers (Horotiu), J. A. Clark. Misses M. Little, Worm, A. Paterson, E. Gerrard, I. Gerrard, M. Brockett (Glen Massey). 5 ODDFELLOWS’ LODGE DANCE A very pleasant evening was spent by members of the Ngaruawahia Oddfellows’ Lodge in their hall recently, music for the dancing being supplied by Miss Joan Cornthwaite. Mr Nicholson was master of ceremonies. Among those present were:—Mesdames C. Bronen, I. Walters, Bauke, Frank, N. Jackways (Kainui), Frost (Orini). Misses J. Cornthwaite, A. Paterson, M. Douglas, J.
