MILITARY CAREER

MAJOR 8. F. ALLEN FOR TRENTHAM Major S. F. Allen, N.Z.S.C., who has been in charge of the No. 4 Military District and Adjutant of the Waikato Mounted Riffes for the past year, will leave this evening for Wellington to take up his appointment with the special military force at Trentham as Officer Commanding the Signalling Division. Major Allen was educated at King's College and then had a special course at Uie Duntroon Military College, Australia. Following this he undertook a special course at the Royal Signalling School at Chatterick, England. He has seen active service with a British regiment on the North-west frontier of India. Major W. 11. Allen, of Hamilton, a members of the Reserve of Officers, lias been placed in charge of the No. 4 Military District and is also Adjutant of the Waikato Mounted Rifies.
