DOMINION TITLE PLAY QUARTER-FINALS TO-DAY (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Thursday The New Zealand amateur billiards championship was continued yesterday in the afternoon session A. Bowie. Otago, plaved attractively to defeat G. Spencer, Auckland, in a close-scoring game. The ißial scores were:—A. Bowie. 666 (breaks of 21. 30. 40, 44. 36, 33, 25. 38. 44, 39. 5 1 m, 31): C. Spencer 57? breaks of 30, 27, i 7, 51., 27. 27, 23. 29). In the, evening game, A. Albertson, Canterbury champion, gave a sound display to defeat J. It. Molloy, or Auckland, the -l ores being:—Albertson. 666 breaks or 21, 51, 52. 34. 29, 21. 51. 67. 36, 20. 29, unfinished); Molloy, 308 tbreaks or 34, r. Whitr’ord. Auckland, won by derault rrom W. Glass, Otorohanga. The draw lor the quarter-finals, commencing to-day. is as follows: 10 a.m.—J. W. F Harrison, Auckland, v. A. Bowie, otago. 2 p.m.—B. Whitrord, Auckland, v. M. D White.
