CALIFORNIA CLIPPER
LEAVES CANTON ISLAND DUE AUCKLAND TUESDAY News of the take-off of the California dipper from the harbour at 12.45 this afternoon was flashed to Auckland from Canton Island, the first stop on the flight. There are eleven in the crew and twelve United States Government and Pan-*\nierican officials aboard, who will inspect the bases. It is due at Auckland on Tuesday afternoon unless it is decided to prolong the slops at the bases.
