FOG AT AUCKLAND
THREE LARGE VESSELS DELAYED FORCED TO DROP ANCHOR (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday A dense fog engulfed three large inward-hound ships early this morning, the Monterey from" Sydney, the Monowai from Vancouver, and the Inverbank, laden with superphosphate from Nauru Island. Drifting out from the city the fog cfosed over the three ships as they came up the channel, and each was forced to drop anchor. The Monowai berthed about 9.30, the Monterey half-an-hour later, and the Inverbank followed.
