APPOINTMENTS IN SOUTH (By Telegrapn.—rrcss Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Gazelle announces the following appointments and transfers of ollicers of the New Zealand Military Forces:— Lieutenant-Colonel A. J. Nicoll, appointed to command the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry; Major u. L. Kerens, appointed to command the Mounted Rilles; LieutenantColonel A. C. Nathan, appointed to command the Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rilles; Major C. M. Rout, Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast Regiment, to be Lieutenant-Colonel, appointed to command the First Battalion; Lieutenanl-Colonel J. M. Samson, appointed to command the First Battalion, Otago Regiment; Lieu-tenant-Colonel E. F. Selby, appointed to command the First Battalion, Southland Regiment, for one year; i Major J. M. Mitchell, Regiment of the : New Zealand Artillery, relinquishes i command of the. Tenth Field Battery J and is appointed to command the ! Twenty-third Heavy Battery.
