YEAR=OLD OFFENCE
DRIVER SENT TO GAOL (By Teifc-apTi.—Press Assorlallont WELLINGTON. Thursday Wilfred Lowe, aged 37. mechanic, was dealt, with in the Magistrate's Court on a charge of driving while in a state of intoxication. The offence was committed r year ago when accused and another man crashed into the back of another vehicle in the vicinity of Waverley. Accused faced a chairpe of stealing e.pht eggs while a cook in a Wellington restaurant, this being the offence which led !o his appearance 0,1 ,he otlier chatue. He was sentenced to 1 i days’ imprisonment on each charge, to he served in the Auckland gaol, it being "‘intimated that he was to appear in Auckland in connection with other offences.
